Blue Medallian, Brass, and Swarovski layered earrings

These earrings were so fun to make and look interesting and unique.

• Materials List2 Large flat beads (blue shell discs are pictures)
• 2 Brass Bead Cap (flattened and slightly smaller than the flat bead)
• 2 small round beads
  
• 2 Swarovski Crystals
• E6000 Glue
• 2 Heads pins
• 2 Ear wires (leverback)

Put a small amount of glue (while in a well ventilated area) between the flat bead at the back and the flattened brass bead cap. Add another small amount of glue to the center of the bead cap and center a crystal on top. Let dry flat for 24 hours.

String the bead on the headpin and small a small hoop at the top. Open the look on the ear wire, add the looped piece you just made, and close the ear wire loop.

There are lots of possibilities with this design, different colors, different styles.

This last picture has an extra layer of brass filigree on the back. Have fun and experiment with different styles.

Non Traditional Valentines Jewelry

Instead of the traditional Valentines Day jewelry in red and silver, how about a necklace like this? Made with faux turquoise, chain, and a locket.

This bib necklace is very easy to make. You need about 18 inches of chain, (longer or shorter depending on your preference), a locket, and a 5 inch chain of beads. Find the center of the chain and the center of the chain of beads. Lay them out straight next to each other. Move the beaded chain in towards the center by 1/2 to 3/4 an inch on each side and attach to the chain on each side. Use a jump ring and attached the locket just above where the chain and beads come together on one side.

Easy and fun to make, try using some of your broken or vintage bits of jewelry at the bottom of your jewelry box.
